2009- The Year of the Snuggie!

Snuggies were a big hit this year for Christmas.

Katie got a pink one from her Dad. Which she "bedazzeled" with the help of Amy & Carrie.

Linda, Amy, David, & Carrie bought Hawkeye ones for Jeff & Katie!

Tim got one too!

The girls weren't sure what to think of it at first, but after checking it out it was a HIT!

Christmas is FUN!

Carter & his Nerf gun. We swear he has ESP because he guessed what it was. And he guessed one of mine too!

Chase & his paddle. He's been saving up for a kayak so Grandpa & Grandma got him his paddle. Now he's got to keep working to save up so he can get it by this summer. He's so excited to be able to go kayaking with his Dad!

Walkie talkies from Uncle Jeff. What an AWESOME idea. Now when we can't find them in the neighborhood.... we can use these. Like Dad said, "who needs a cell phone!"

Christmas is for Dogs too!

Molly had to sniff out the stocking. The other two weren't as interested in them as she was!

But Baby was VERY interested in Daddy's presents.

Busy Stitching Week

Here is the one I got from Loretta, by Hob Nobb. I just have to add the dog charm & the dog bone that came with it.

Two recipes by Pine Mountain Designs- Recipe for a Snowman & Summertime Recipe. I have two more to do & am still missing three of them.

The Hob Nobb I got done in about 2 hours, it's super quick. And the recipes only took me a coupe of days to do. I guess I figure before I get back to work I better get as much stitchin in as I can. I have an interview tomorrow & hope to be back to work by the first of the year!

Merry Early Christmas To ME!!!!!

First of all, let me start of by saying..... I HAVE THE BEST STITCHING FRIENDS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This bag is from my friend, Twig. It has SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many pockets in it, I think I counted 19 of them! And each pocket had a little surprise in it- patterns, floss, fabric, nosew glue, lipgloss, perfume, shower gel, shimmery powder, a fridge magnet, a cute hanging plate, a Hob Nobb kit, some pink pencils.... I think I remembered everything that was in it. I have been looking at this bag forever at Hobby Lobby!!!!!!

This one is from my friend, Loretta, in Canada. I didn't have any idea this one was coming from, so holy cow was I surprised!!! It had the BEST stuff in it too! A Hob Nobb kit that I've been wanting, Dogs Love You No Matter What!, with all the floss & fabby to stitch it. A cookbook, some bubblegum floss from The Gentle Art, some "E" notecards, & a snowman ornament.

I'm not sure what I did to deserve all of these Christmas goodies?! I have some of the most wonderful friends in the world! I AM IN STITCHING HEAVEN!!!!!

Iowa's First Winter Storm

It is a winter wonderland!!!!! This is what I woke up to this morning. The first picture is the view out of my living room window, south of town, you can't see the road leading out of town. The second picture is my Christmas tree that is outside.

Baby meets Santa

Our vet clinic had a Christmas open house this afternoon. I took Baby Macy over to meet Santa. Here are a few pictures I took. She looks like she's trying to get away from him by the end, she'd had enough of Santa, I guess.

Dogs are picky too!

So I went to the bathroom to check & see how much food the dogs had in their dish..... this is what I found.... just the FISH pieces of food. They have dug out all the other pieces & ate them but left these. They must not taste as good!

A fun day with Hank

Hank came to play on Sunday. It had been 3 weeks since I'd seen him, boy has he grown. He is so funny too. He really likes his saucer now. He figured out it can turn, so he thinks he's pretty big stuff. He eats baby food now. He also laughs & smiles at you if you ask him if he pooped his pants!

A lot 'a stitchin' goin' on

I guess I'm making up for lost time, when I was working full-time. I've been on a stitching roll, I finished these three. I started Snow Day on Friday night. I started the SanMan one last night & finished it this morning. I started & finished Brrrr today. My needle is flying....granted, I do miss the kids but stitching helps take my mind off of it a bit.
