A Day With Leah

Yesterday, I met Jennifer & Leah at Coralridge mall for the day. We played on the toys there, had some lunch, & went to the children's musem. Here are some pictures from the museum. Leah went grocery shopping, made me a pizza, painted a picture, flew an airplane, went letter fishing, built a house, rode in a hot air balloon, played house, & lots of other things. It was a pretty neat place & Leah had a lot of fun!

To end the day, I took Leah to Build-A-Bear Workshop, it was her first time there.

Here she is stuffing her bear & with her Bear, which she named Emmy.

The Week of January 25th

Here's what I've been working on for the past week. Another LK word, I think this one is #9...... key word, "think", I've lost track. The other piece is by Hob Nobb, called Spring. I still need to add the embellishments to it, but you have to do that last as they are very fragile. I still need to iron it & figure out who I'm going to finish it. I can't decide if I want to frame it or make it in to a hanging piece. My Dad got me for Christmas this year. I can't wait to have the entire set done!

Lots of Stitching This Week

I have been very busy stitching this past week & a half. So many projects..... so little time!

Toadrrific Spring by SanMan Originals. This is the last one in this series, now I have all four seasons done. It always feels soooooooooooooooooo good to complete a series!

Recipe for America by Pine Mountian Designs. I had to stitch this one up quick so I had something to put in my frame once Winter is over. I don't have the Springtime one, it's the only one of the series that I'm missing.... hopefully I'll find it soon.

#6 & #7 of the Lizzie Kate Living Double Flips series. I have decided that I am stitching one word, then picking something else from my kitted projects, then doing another word. This way I won't get as bored with the words.

Ground Hog Day, a freebie by Cross Eyed Cricket. This one I just had to get done in time for February for my ornament tree.

2010 Pinewood Derby Bragging Rights Go To.......

Not too bad for a car built Saturday night (the night before the derby), with quarters for weights, & ducktape to hold the weights down!

Dinner is Served

Friday night was the monthly Legion, Post $430 meeting. January's meal is hosted by the Sons of the American Legion. Tim is the President so the meal falls on his shoulders or should I say MY shoulders.
The boys, getting the cookies ready to set out. I was so surprised to see them in a rare moment of teamwork!

Posing for the camera.

Dinner is ready!!!!! I made chilli, sammie for a crowd, & brownie bites.

Welcome To The Nuthouse Finish

I really wanted to frame this one & hang it on my backdoor, as we never use the front door. I had it in a nice white frame & then this spring I was going to add some acorns to the frame. But thanks to my lovely family, the frame will not stay hung on the door.... so I had to hang it with some ribbon instead.

We Love Chase's Blanket

Everybody in the family seems to enjoy Chase's new blanket!

IT'S COLD OUT THERE!!!!!

Here is Carter, pink cheeks & all, after playing outside. It has been soooooooooooooooooooooo darn cold here, yet the kids still want to play outside!!!! Crazy kids!

Hank

Even Hank liked the Pinewood Derby. About as much as taking off his socks & eating them!

When we got home, he had a little play time with the big boys & the dogs. I'm not so sure he knew what to think when Bullseye sat on his lap & then Molly sat on his lap!

Pinewood Derby 2010

This weekend was the Cub Scouts annual Pinewood Derby. It pretty much consumed our entire weekend.... but as long as the boys have fun that's all that matters!
Here is Carter with his car.

Carter's car crossing the finish line.

Even Tim built a car, at the last possible minute. Here it is crossing the finish line & kickin' butt! It's hard to tell but he used quarters for the weight & used ducktape to hold them down to the top of his car.

Two More From The Living Series

Here are #s 4 & 5. I'm working on #6 right now & that'll put me half way done with this series. I really like how they are turning out. And am happy I decided to splurge on some hand dyed threads.

Can I Have Some Too?

Molly was really, really, REALLY hoping that Chase would share his orange with him.

BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I was putting my socks on, I heard Molly in the trash can. I knew she what she had- my soup container from lunch.

"Sorry, Mommy."

My 1st 2010 Finish

The 3rd one from the Lizzie Kate Living Double Flips series.
