Welcome!

I've finally caved & decided to start blogging. I hope I can keep it up-to-date. I'm totally addicted to cross stitching
(I've been told it's an old lady hobby, I guess that means I'm an old lady!) so there will be a lot of cross stitching posts.
There will be pictures of the kids, both 2-legged & 4-legged, Chase, Carter, Baby Hank, Bullseye, Molly, & Baby.
I hope you enjoy reading, I promise to try not to bore you too much. Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Dog shelf

Here is my dog shelf. I bought it unfinished at Hobby Lobby. Spray painted it black, added some pre-painted die cuts (also from Hobby Lobby), & then added a few other doggy charms I had. I have a 5x7 picture of each kid that is already in a frame for the top of the shelf. Then I have 3 of the 4 ornaments stitched & finished for the pegs. I hope to have the 4th one finished this week so I can hang the shelf & take a final picture! This one was a lot of fun to make.

Bunk Beds & Dogs Don't Mix

Tim thought it would be cute to put the 4-legged kids in bed with the 2-legged kids. The boys thought it was funny, but I don't think the dogs did. Molly kept going to the steps, to see if she could figure out how to get down, Baby just kept pacing, & Bullseye just sat down.

Sleepy

Bullseye is ready for bed.

This is how the puppy sleeps, she's got to have her little nose sticking out. Then of course once she busted Mommy taking her picture, she stuck her entire head out.

This is what you get......

when you stick your butt in the air towards me.....

you get attacked by Dad!

Loves To Snuggle

Molly LOVES to snuggle! She never can get enough attention. And she LOVES her boy!

A Couple of Finishes

While we were at the beach on Monday, I was able to finish this Lizzie Kate, A Bit of October. So October is now done & I'm on to November. Three more months to stitch & my ornament tree will be done!

The Beach

Monday I took the boys to Buffalo Beach on the Mississippi River. They've been wanting to go all summer, since we didn't make it there last summer. They had a GREAT time. They swam in the river & played in the sand for 3 solid hours. It's no wonder they slept in till 10:30 the next morning!!!

3 Weeks Tomorrow

I went to visit Hank today. He will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, time sure does fly & he sure is growing! Last week he as already over 9 pounds. I just love the chubby cheeks, I can't give them enough kisses.

Chase's Cat

Chase was able to finish the last requirements yesterday when we were at the river for his 1st merit badge!!! We were all so excited. So tonight when we go to his meeting, we will be able to tell the Cubmaster that Chase has earned his fishing merit badge.

So here he is with his catfish. He had to clean it & cook it. He said cleaning it was tough, the skin was hard to get off of the fish. We were going to Grandma's for dinner, so Chase cooked his fish, & ate it for dinner while the rest of us ate tacos! He said it was good!

Chalkboard

Here is a chalkboard that I finished this afternoon. I plan on adding some charms/buttons on to the chalkboard, 123 & ABCs.

Walcott Days Parade

Today was Walcott's parade. We took the whole family. The guys rode in the truck. Us women & the kids walked the parade & handed out candy, koozies, & frisbies. We had lots of fun & the weather was beautiful!

Me & the boys. It pained Chase to take a picture with me. Carter on the other hand was very photogenic today!

Walcott Community Club always has a funny float to go along with the parades theme. This years theme was down on the farm. So Tim thought it would be funny to have the boys stand in front of the butts of these two cows. We found out during the parade, that the tails actually rose up & water squirted out. How funny!

A Bit of September

Here is another one done for September, a Lizzie Kate.

A Little "BLING"

Miss Big Truck got some new "bling" last night. This is on both sides of the truck, on the front doors. Our friend, Corey, did the work for us, he did a great job!

Playing with Leah

Today I drove to Ankeny, to visit Jennifer & her daughter Leah. It's about a 2 hour drive from me but totally worth it! Leah is so much fun, she's 2, & can carry on a conversation with you so well, almost too well, sometimes I forget she just turned 2.
We went to the park. Leah played in the fountain, swang, & played on the playground. Then we went to lunch & out for ice cream. After ice cream we went back to the house, Leah swam in the backyard & Jennifer & I sat & got in a good visit. Jennifer & I have been friends for probably almost 20 years, it's always good to visit with her. I can't wait till they come here in a couple of weeks for a visit! :)

Snoopy & Woodstock

While we were on Lake MacBride this afternoon, I stitched up these two cuties. The patterns were in one of the UK Cross Stitcher magazine. My friend, Tom, loves Snoopy, so I stitched these for him & made them into magnets for his fridge.

Boating with Bullseye

We took Bullseye to Lake MacBride this afternoon & left the girls at home.
He had a great time hanging out with Daddy & Mommy!

Crazy Girls

This afternoon I had some yogurt for a snack. Yoplait light, key lime pie, my favorite. I think Molly liked it as much as I did, cause when I was done she licked the container clean!

That is ONE BIG puppy stretch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hank Says "Cheese"!

I went to visit Hank yesterday afternoon, he's now a week old. He still pretty much just eats, sleeps, & poops. I tried very hard to wake him up to play but he was having nothing to do with waking up till it was time to eat. I was able to get him to smile by tickling his cheek a little bit. He's so darn cute!

Frogtastic Fall

It's hard to believe that it's been a week since I've posted a cross stitch finish. I guess it goes to show how much less time I have
to cross stitch when they boys are home! This one is a SanMan Original & will be switched out with my Toadally Summer piece that is next to my ornament tree.

Saftey!

Chase has been DYING to get his hands on Dad's riding lawn mower. So on Tuesday night, Dad humored him & let him give it a try. Little did Chase know there is a safety feature on the seat! So we all got a really good laugh at him trying to get the mower going. He could get it started but then he couldn't keep it going & couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Starting the mower.....

but it just won't go........

try it again, maybe try a little harder.....

AH HAH! It finally works! Thanks to Dad for moving up the seat!

A Puppy & A Boy........

We were sitting in the driveway this morning. Baby seemed to have something to say to Chase. And whatever she told him seemed to make her smile VERY big! Such a cute little puppy face. How can you not love it?!!
