Welcome!

I've finally caved & decided to start blogging. I hope I can keep it up-to-date. I'm totally addicted to cross stitching
(I've been told it's an old lady hobby, I guess that means I'm an old lady!) so there will be a lot of cross stitching posts.
There will be pictures of the kids, both 2-legged & 4-legged, Chase, Carter, Baby Hank, Bullseye, Molly, & Baby.
I hope you enjoy reading, I promise to try not to bore you too much. Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

A lot 'a stitchin' goin' on

I guess I'm making up for lost time, when I was working full-time. I've been on a stitching roll, I finished these three. I started Snow Day on Friday night. I started the SanMan one last night & finished it this morning. I started & finished Brrrr today. My needle is flying....granted, I do miss the kids but stitching helps take my mind off of it a bit.

Here are two from Lizzie Kate's Winter Crazy.

This is from San Man Originals, from the January, 2009 calendar.

The Kids

I got these really cute pictures of all the kids yesterday afternoon while we were out in the yard. I made it into a collage at walmart.com, 1x14, I'm going to hang it on my wall above my couch. I can't wait to pick it up later this week!

Some Weekend Finishes

I was pretty busy today getting decorated for Christmas & finishing up some crafts!
Happy New Year, By Lizzie Kate.
I know, we just got past Thanksgiving & I just got decorated for Christmas....but if I don't get busy on stitching for January my tree will be naked!
Brrribbit framed. I used some sparkly snowflake buttons from Twig to add a little something to it.

I FINALLY got my dog shelf hung today. I only finished it over the summer, LOL, but it took me this long to get it hung!

We are ready for Christmas- Inside & Out

I refused to put a real tree inside, because I don't like cleaning up all the needles, but the boys really wanted one.... so we compromised! Here is our real tree outside on our little stoop. It is hard to tell but it does have multi-colored lights on it. And then here is our fake, pre-lit tree that is inside.

Here is my entertianment center with my ornament tree, my pink tree, & my winter frog frame.
Have you counted all the trees in my house- FOUR, we have four of them! My cross stitch ornamnet tree, my pink tree, my fake pre-lit tree, & my real tree outside. :)

Bullseye LOVES the leaves

Need I say more?!

Time for the Playset to come down!

The boys have outgrown the playset so Dad decided that it needs to come down. He talked all summer long about taking it down.... he wanted to burn some leaves in the backyard this afternoon so it was the perfect time!

Chase thought the fire needed a little help.....

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we went to my parents house for Thanksgiving. It's the one time a year I go home. Here I am with my little cousin, Emersyn. She is the one I watched last year. I haven't seen her since June & she still remembered me! It was great to see her & super fun to play with her again. She is getting so big & so grown up & she finally has hair!!!!!!!

A couple of stitching finishes

My original plan was to stitch a few of these small designs from a UK magainze I bought last Christmas for my ornament tree. They're super quick & small so I figured it wouldn't be a problem. That is until I got sick! I was sick for about a week & did NO stitching. So I didn't get to far. I got this little Christmas tree done & a snowman done (that still needs to be backstitched).... so I think I'll just be using my LK Tiny Tidings that are already done for my ornament tree this year & attempt to maybe finish these for next year.
Here is my winter frog by SanMan. He still needs a couple of snowflakes but I'll get to that when I finish him.

My Snowflake

Here is my snowflake that we drove 9 hours north to get! Okay, so it wasn't JUST for this snowflake, it was to pick up the Christmas wreaths that the Cub Scouts sell. Last year was our first year making the trip, when we arrived at the shop, they were in the process of making one of these. Of course I just had to have one! It never got hung on the house last year...... so this year I made sure to make a point of nagging Tim enough to get it hung. I think he heard enough of my complaining because we got home on Saturday & the wreath was hung on the house on Sunday! It is one of a kind, nobody else in town has one! :)

Nothing New

to report in my life. I've been working at the pre-school still. I have no idea if the lady I am subbing for is returning to work or not, she is very undecided at this point. And I can't blame her one bit, it's her last baby, but yet she loves her job & jobs at the school are hard to come by. It kinda sucks for me because I'm in limbo but for now, the money is good, the hours are great, & the job is do-able.
I have been fighting a cold since Thursday this week. I've been pretty lucky, 4 weeks around all these sick kids, & this is the first "sick" I've had. I don't feel too bad, just pretty tired, & really ready to stop coughing.

Here is a picture of Molly last weekend with her Daddy. He's on Facebook & she's "helping" him. Granted her tounge is sticking out, so I'm pretty sure whatever he is looking at she does not like!!!!
