Welcome!

I've finally caved & decided to start blogging. I hope I can keep it up-to-date. I'm totally addicted to cross stitching
(I've been told it's an old lady hobby, I guess that means I'm an old lady!) so there will be a lot of cross stitching posts.
There will be pictures of the kids, both 2-legged & 4-legged, Chase, Carter, Baby Hank, Bullseye, Molly, & Baby.
I hope you enjoy reading, I promise to try not to bore you too much. Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Who knew a deck was so fun?

They thought it was really cool to JUMP off of the deck. I tried to do my best catching them mid-jump. It was kinda funny!

Is this their best side?

Katie is Home!!!

Katie & Jeff got home on Sunday. She is staying with Grandma & Grandpa for two weeks, it's her annual visit. So as soon as they got here on Sunday & got settled in, we went over to play & have dinner.

SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE! They'll let you get one halfway decent picture, as long as they can be totally goofy in the next one. Whatever it takes!

Playing on the swingset their Dad's played on as kids!

Lost A Tooth

On the way home from Lake MacBride, the boys were in the back enjoying some garlic cheese & crackers. All of a sudden I hear Chase mumble, "Emily.... can you hand me a rag..... I'm bleeding all over..... I lost a tooth." I turn around to find in one hand a tooth & the other hand full of blood. Can't believe the kid lost a tooth eating CHEESE, of all things!

Lake MacBride

On Friday, Tim took the day off of work & we took the kids to Lake MacBride. I think this is one of their favorite places to go in the summer.

Chase caught quite a few fish, at the first place we stopped to fish. Of course once he takes them off of the hook, he has to "kiss 'em good-bye".

There were quite a few dragonfly's flying around. They found my leg a nice resting spot.

We also stopped at the spillway for the boys to play. It's very pretty here. It's shallow enough the kids can get out of the boat & walk around in the water. It was very suprising at the end of July that the water was still chilly.

Then of course our last stop was the beach. The boys played in the sand & went swimming. They had a blast!

Love My Dog

By Lizzie Kate.
Because I have three dogs, I had to add an "s" to dog & then make the names smaller to fit all three.
This is the last ornament for my dog shelf. I just need to get it finished, then I can hang the shelf.

Dog shelf

Here is my dog shelf. I bought it unfinished at Hobby Lobby. Spray painted it black, added some pre-painted die cuts (also from Hobby Lobby), & then added a few other doggy charms I had. I have a 5x7 picture of each kid that is already in a frame for the top of the shelf. Then I have 3 of the 4 ornaments stitched & finished for the pegs. I hope to have the 4th one finished this week so I can hang the shelf & take a final picture! This one was a lot of fun to make.

Bunk Beds & Dogs Don't Mix

Tim thought it would be cute to put the 4-legged kids in bed with the 2-legged kids. The boys thought it was funny, but I don't think the dogs did. Molly kept going to the steps, to see if she could figure out how to get down, Baby just kept pacing, & Bullseye just sat down.
